The team started off slow and we fell to a 17 points deficit at halftime. We were able to establish a running game, but the passing game had no effect. We will continue to build on our running game and improve the passing game. There were opportunities in the game that allowed us to generate momentum in the 3rd quarter. The team played hard and fought through adversity. We must improve on starting fast and finishing strong.

Our goal will remain intact. We will continue to compete for the MEAC title and most importantly finish strong. Staying consistent is essential. We will come to ready to play every week. The attitude and morale is still high and failure is not an option. We will move forward from last week and place our focus on Hampton.

This week’s preparation was altered due Hurricane Sandy. We were forced to practice inside and focused more on the mental aspect of the game.

The Howard – Hampton rivalry is a game of bragging rights. Two great academic university that will come together and battle on the gridiron. This win is important for both Universities because its creates a sense of pride. This game will give these young men an opportunity to represent their wonderful Universities on the big stage in front of their most distinguished Alums.

Hope to see your on Saturday at Greene Stadium!
