Coach Gary Harrell - celebrationWe had a very tough game against Morehouse. The Maroon Tigers are a worthy opponent and I take my hat off to them. They really pushed us to our limit. We showed so much character, and a will to win. I am impressed with how our Bison kept their composure and played as a team. Anytime your team shows that they can come from behind and win against all odds, you have to feel proud of them.

We had some young Bison really step up to play. My two young wide receivers, Matt Colvin and Jonathan Booker, played a major role last week. Also running back William Parker did some great things. But the most encouraging moment to see was freshman quarterback Jamie Cunningham come into the ball game with his fearless play to secure the victory.

Moving forward, we will need to improve on the organizational part of our game. I would like to see a more smoother transition when we are rotating players. This game against Morehouse revealed that we have some work to do before conference play. We must continue to focus on the fundamentals and small details.

Fast forwarding to this Saturday, we plan on attacking Rutgers. We will not sit back and wait for their first move. We will play Rutgers just like we play everyone else. Our style of play will not change from week to week. We believe in our players and our system. May the best team win.
